Glenn Edward West Sr.

Glenn Edward West, Sr., age 77, finished his earthly race on March 29, 2024 at his home in Springdale, Arkansas. Glenn was born in Dragerton, Utah on October 3, 1946 to George and Marie West. In 1967 Glenn met the love of his life, Zelda May Miller and the two were wed on January 16, 1968. Through 56 years of good times and hard times, they honored God and remained devoted to one another. Their lives set an example for their children on how to serve God and serve each other. Glenn’s most treasured times were spent with family. He loved taking road trips together to experience new places. One of his favorite places was Lake Superior in Michigan where he would sit and watch the sunset over the waves, or look for agates along the shore. Glenn also loved volleyball, going swimming, and just generally having fun. His bright blue eyes often sparkled with laughter and mischief. Glenn was a devout Chrisitan who loved God with all his heart and he stood firm in his Christian values. Together, Glenn and Zelda taught their children the importance of a strong Christian faith. Glenn was a member of Hickory Flatt Church where he worshiped and served God for over 35 years. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie West. Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Zelda West of the home; four children, Teresa West Scott of Springdale, Glenn West Jr, and Natosha of Springdale; Tina Buchanan and Tom of Hindsville, Terri Brandenburg and Jarred of Springdale; nine grandchildren, Joshua Scott, Glenn West, III and Hailey, Nathanael West and Jill Morin, Tyler Buchanan and Josie Sisk, Emily Buchanan, Ashley Brandenburg, James Brandenburg, Madalynn Brandenburg and Connor Brandenburg; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Scott, Lydia Scott and Elliana West. Glenn is also survived by one sister, Kathy Moreno of Riverbank, California and three brothers, John West and Dolores of LaGrange, California, Charles West and Mary of Lincoln, Arkansas and Dale West and Sue of Riverbank, California. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 2pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel with Pastor Lyndell Thompson and Pastor Terry Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
