Angela Bishop

Angela Marie "Angie" Bishop, 54 of Lowell died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at her home. She was born July 6, 1958 in Evansville, Indiana to Gustave and Mary Klingler Wolf. Angie graduated Valedictorian at Texarkana High School and as Salutatorian from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture. She worked as an architect for High-Jackson and Associates. She stopped working to raises her two sons. She was a charter employee with the Lifeway Christian Bookstore in Rogers. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lowell where she led various Bible Studies. She taught Vacation Bible School; she was an Awana leader and she sang in sign language with Hands of Praise. She was involved in mission trips. She was a leader in Bible Study Fellowship, she served as a children's leader and Substitute Teaching leader. She was a regular volunteer at Poplar House Clinic, later Tree of Life Clinic in Rogers. She worked with her husband on the family farm. Survivors include her husband Joe Bishop of the home to whom she married August 14, 1976; two sons Nelson Bishop and wife Amanda of Conway and Nathan Bishop and wife Melody of Ft. Worth, Texas; her mother Mary Wolf of Texarkana, Arkansas; three brothers Gus Wolf and wife Jean of Owings, Maryland, Norman Wolf and wife Cathy of Texarkana, Texas and Peter Wolf and wife Kecia of Texarkana, Arkansas; four sisters Darlene Redden and husband Joe of Texarkana, Arkansas, Deborah Handlen and husband Richard of Larkspur, California, Theresa Poff and husband Frank of Texarkana, Arkansas and Shirley Jaster of Texarkana, Texas; two grandchildren Callie Ann and Elliott Marie Bishop of Ft. Worth, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lowell with Rev. Gary Thomas and Rev. Ben Rowell officiating. Burial will be in the Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4pm at the funeral home.
