Crystal Kay McDaniel

Crystal Kay McDaniel, 48 of Springdale passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born September 8, 1972 in Ames, Iowa to Norman and Norma McDaniel. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Callum Villafranca. Survivors include two daughters, Lacey Brannon of Springdale and Carley Villafranca and husband Andres of Springdale; one brother, Ron McDaniel and one aunt, Judy Montgomery both of Nevada, Iowa; her father, Norman McDaniel of Mission, Texas; her mother, Norma Hanthorne and husband Don of Springdale; four grandchildren, Cross and Barrett Brannon and Lincoln and Amelia Villafranca; one honorary daughter, Devin Spangler of Springdale; her former son-in-law, Drew Brannon of Springdale; two honorary nephews, Cordell Ashby and wife Courtney and Galin Ashby all of Huntsville and their children Dawson and Sadie. Memorial service will be Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 5pm at Friendship Baptist Church in Springdale with Pastor Mike Sypult officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 4pm at the church. --------------------------------------- Dear Friends, Crystal was born in Ames, Iowa and attended school in Nevada, Iowa through 8th grade then moved to Springdale, Arkansas with her mom and completed her education. Crystal raised her two daughters and after years of hair pulling and misbehaving they finally redeemed themselves with the joys of her life--grandchildren. Her independent spirit was revealed in her desire for travel, particularly the desert southwest. Getting on the lake for a weekend of boating was a break from the pace of daily life. The tight-knit Material OG co-workers took away some of the "work" in "workweek." As a daddy's girl that admired her father and emulated his embrace of hard work, she dug into projects until they were done and done right. Photo albums with thousands of memories evidenced the importance of her friends and family. Crystal's faith in Christ, introduced to her by Grandpa and Grandma Jay, continued to grow. She wishes you would give the Lord the same opportunity to be in your life.
