Garry Bingaman

Garry Lee Bingaman, age 66 of Springdale, Arkansas and formerly of Greencastle, PA passed away on June 3, 2012 of natural causes in his home. Born March 1, 1945 he was the son of the late Claude T and Ellen (Dottie Pisle) Bingaman. Garry was raised in the First United Brethren Church of Greencastle. He graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School with the class of 1963 and the Atlantic Airline School, Hartford Connecticut. Garry was in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. After his time in the service he worked all of his life in the airline industry starting in Islip, New York, then continuing to Kennedy Airport in New York, Miami, Florida and ending his career in Houston, Texas. He was retired from Continental Airlines. He enjoyed his work and became known for making wonderful breakfasts for his co-workers on Saturday mornings. He is survived by his second wife, Kathy S. Muse, three daughters, Jennifer Bingaman Triplett, Amy Bingaman Zuckero, and Katie Bingaman (Jose)Banda. Two grandchildren Trey Triplet and Allie Triplett all of Houston, Texas. His family was of the utmost importance to him and he gave unselfishly to them. He is also survived by one sister, Beverly Snider (Rodger) Hawbaker. One niece Kimberly S. (David) Bock, two nephews, Jere J. (Dawn) Snider, and Jeffrey L. (Michelle) Snider, all of Chambersburg, PA and three great nieces and four great nephews. They all loved him very much and enjoyed when he came to visit each year. Garry was an avid sportsman having played baseball, basketball and soccer in high school. He continued in his adult life as an avid golfer and loved to watch all sports on television. He also worked part- time after retirement on a golf course. After moving to Springdale, Garry attended and became a member of the First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Springdale with Rev. David Freeman officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
