In Loving Memory of Linda "Jane" Woods January 22, 1955 – February 27, 2026 SPRINGDALE, AR – Linda Jane Woods, known to those who knew her well as Jane, age 71, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas. A lifelong native of Northwest Arkansas, Jane was born on January 22, 1954, in Fayetteville to the late Ezell and Alberta Woods. Jane held a special place in her family as the youngest of eighteen siblings. She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School (June 1, 1973), and, in her younger years, was briefly married to Floyd Barker. Jane was a woman of quiet independence and a private nature. She found her greatest fulfillment in her creative pursuits, possessing a sharp eye for detail and a steady hand. A gifted artist, she spent much of her time immersed in her drawings and embroidery. Her artwork served as her primary way of connecting with the world, leaving behind a tangible legacy of her unique perspective and talent. On May 16, 2009, Jane made a significant spiritual commitment when she was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Elder Jeffrey Barton Sample. She was confirmed a member of the Church the following day, May 17, 2009, by Elder Scyler Kade Silcock in the Har-Ber Ward, Springdale Stake. Her faith was a personal and foundational part of her later years. While she often walked her own path, Jane’s presence remained a constant in the family history. She is survived by her beloved son, Isaac Thomas, who remained her greatest life connection. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Williams (Lonnie Ray) and Morris "Button" Woods (Wanda), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and multiple generations of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her biological parents, Ezell and Alberta Woods; her stepfather, Henry Tucker; six sisters: Vanilla, Mary Ellen, Geneva, Margaret, Joann, Loritta, and Geraldine; and seven brothers: Tom, William, Handy, Ezell Jr., Jonathan, Gene Maurice, and James Franklin.
