Madelyn Hargrove

Madelyn Grace Hargrove was granted her angel wings on April 10, 2012, following a lifelong illness of Cerebral Palsy. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Madelyn had touched in some small way, throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Madelyn was born March 8th, 2008. Maddie's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by her, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it. Her big brown eyes could melt the hearts of those around her and though she never spoke a word, her thoughts could always be heard. Although Maddie's illness made her appear frail, she possessed strength, perseverance, the ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She could spend hours cuddling close to those she loved so much. She enjoyed music and being read stories. With Maddie's passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated, although we will miss her every day, she will always remain forever in our hearts. Through her teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to have known her and we will hold dear the memory of Maddie's gentle spirit. Madelyn Grace Hargrove is survived by her loving parents, Heather and James Hargrove of Springdale, Arkansas; Paternal grandparents Gene and Peggy Hargrove of Coppell, Texas; maternal grandparents, Paul and Cathy Anderson of Green Valley, Arizona; Aunt Laura Thompson, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Aunt Lynn Horton, Greenville, Texas and Uncle Karl and Gidget Hargrove, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Other aunts and uncles include Marcia and Joe Volin, Roger and Penny Anderson, Cheryl and Tim Hughes, and Lisa and Mike Bovich, and cousins Joshua, Samantha, Megan, Mackenzie, Kyle, Sophia, Arya, Jake, and Lyra. She is also survived by her Great Grandma, Betty Austin, and many other great aunts, great uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents Marian and Garfield Miller, great grandfather Dale Austin, great grandparents Bob and Alice Bolick, great grandparents Jack and June Hargrove, and by her grandfather Dan Austin. There will be a memorial service on April 14th at 2:00 pm at the Apostolic Life Church of Springdale, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cover medical expenses.
