Patricia Ann Simmons

Patricia Ann Simmons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, born May 20, 1939, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2024 , at the age of 85. Born in Fillmore, California to Clarence and Thelma Mullins. Patricia moved to Riverside, California as a child, where she grew up and built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories. On June 22, 1958, Patricia married the love of her life, Paul Simmons. Together, they shared over six decades of marriage, marked by love, devotion, and countless adventures. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children: Richard Alan, Sherry Lynn, and Pamela Gale. Patricia was a proud and doting grandmother to five grandchildren: Sarah, Jeremiah, Danielle, Anthony, and Christopher. Her legacy further extended to her ten great-grandchildren: Lily, Katy Beth, Arden West, Lucas, Norabelle, Kruz Alan, Abbott Grey, Rory Lee, August Rey, and Olive Willow, who brought immense joy and pride into her life. In 1992 Patricia and Paul moved from San Marcos, California to Springdale, Arkansas along with all three of their adult children, spouses and grandchildren. This is an incredible testament of Patricia’s commitment, love, and loyalty to her family. A true example of Agape love. Known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life, Patricia found joy in various activities. She was an avid bowler and an enthusiastic square dancer, finding community and fun in every twirl and step. She had a keen eye for a good deal and loved shopping at second-hand stores, always on the lookout for treasures. Dining out and engaging in long, heartfelt conversations were among her favorite pastimes. Patricia’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of Springdale First Assembly Church, where she participated in Sunday school and sang joyfully in the choir. Patricia was a dedicated and proud member of the Tops Club, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the group's camaraderie. Her love for jewelry was well-known, and she always had a sparkle, both in her eyes and in her accessories. Patricia Ann Simmons leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and faith. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held on August 23, 2024 @ 12:00pm at Springdale First Assembly Church where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. Burial to follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Rest in peace, Grandma, you were the light of our lives. Your spirit and love will live on in our hearts forever.
