Paul Pano Poulos, 60 of Tontitown, Arkansas, peacefully passed away Saturday, May 25th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in the Heroes Haven Unit at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville. He was a faithful follower of the Lord and loved life! Pano who seemed “Larger than Life” lived it to the fullest and made it a habit to have fun! He was known for his endless optimism, quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate heart. And he embraced the moments of his life: living passionately, having adventures, taking risks, seeking out new experiences and in turn, creating countless memories! He also embraced the moments of his life by connecting with others. And it was here that he excelled. He just always seemed to know the right thing to say, at just the right time. His words of Wisdom that he humbly shared with others were a gift from God. And he particularly enjoyed empowering individuals to discover their innate abilities through independent thinking and decision making. Therefore, he often encouraged his family, friends, and everyone to dream bigger, push harder, and think outside the box. His strength, resilience and fortitude served as a guiding light, motivating us all to strive for excellence, to shine our own lights and to be strong and confident. Pano truly left a lasting impression on everyone he met – a hero to us all! He had many hobbies which included: Bee Keeping, Travel (had been to all 7 Continents and much of U.S.), Nature Photography, Outdoor Activities (hunting, fly fishing, bird watching, Trek), Thrill Seeker & Adrenaline Junkie (jumping out of planes as an Army Paratrooper in Alaska, repelling off of towers and helicopters as an Army Reppell Master, Amusement Parks rides, Nascar driving at over 200 mph) and enjoying Family Time, (Cooking, Strategic Board Games, and Disney trips & cruises). And he would often end his day watching a British Murder Mysteries with a Diet Coke in hand. Those that passed away before him include Grandparents George & Hazel Hastings, Mother & Father-in-Law Mary & Harold Metz, Uncle Paul Hastings, and his favorite dog Candy from Alaska. Pano leaves behind his cherished wife, Susan, his steadfast companion in life’s journey, his children who filled him with immense pride. Nicholas (his favorite beekeeper, and friend he could count on) & wife Tavia; his son Joshua (his favorite Disney buddy and close look-a-like to himself) & wife Hannah; and Savannah (his favorite Minecraft comrade) and fiancé Moses. Also, his beloved Parents Nick and Judy Poulos, and his beautiful grandchildren who lovingly called him PaPaw, Theodore (who has Pano’s eyes), and adorable Eliza & precious baby Verity. He also leaves behind his twin sisters, Meta & husband Mark, and Misti, and 10 nieces and nephews. And his dearest friend Drey & wife Brenda Anthony of Texas. A Burial Service with Military Honors will be Friday, June 21st, 2024, at 9:30am in the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11am at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, AR.
