Peggy A. Harris

Peggy A. Harris, 85, of Springdale, passed away on August 31, 2025. She was born on June 6, 1940, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to the late Dell and Willia Kendall. Peggy graduated from Springdale High School and went on to complete 3 years of college at the University of Arkansas before marrying her late husband Dr. Winfred Harris. She was a military wife and moved frequently with her husband. She supported her husband while he attended dental school in Kansas City before moving back to Springdale. She attended Cross Church and had a great love for the Lord. Peggy traveled the world on mission trips to places like Africa, India, and South America where she led others to Christ and helped bring them the gospel. She would also tell you that while on these trips she endured pythons, piranha’s, and sweltering heat waves. Peggy’s passion in life, however, was her four children and her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and a much adored “Mimi”. She could often be seen at the lake on the weekends always ready with a picnic lunch for hungry water skiers. You could also see her frequent places like Chuck E. Cheese and Fun City with all of her grandchildren following like ducks in a row. She always had “extra” tokens even though they had run out of them hours ago. Mimi’s home was always open to all of her children and grandchildren. There was rarely a time when one of her grandkids was not with her. A frequent request from all of the grandkids was, “Can I please go to Mimi’s house and spend the night.” Her home was full of cousins to play with and fun activities to do. She poured her heart and soul into each of them and they in turn loved and cherished her. Her kind and compassionate spirit will be missed by all. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Tammy Moore and husband Keith of Springdale; her son Kendall Harris and wife Cynthia of Orlando, Florida; son Dr. Kyle Harris and wife Amy of Springdale; son-in-law Doug Brooks; grandson, Brad Ramey and wife Katerina of Texas; grandson, Chris Marshall and wife Ashton of Marion, Arkansas; grandson, Chad Ramey of Springdale; grandson, Nick Harris of Springdale; grandson, Alexander Harris; grandson, Dylan Harris of Fayetteville, Arkansas; granddaughter, Abigail Harris, and a granddaughter, Rachel Shearer and husband Josh of Springdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Winfred Harris and daughter, Debbie Brooks. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:00am at Sisco Funeral Home in Springdale. Visitation will begin at 10:00am with internment at 1:30 pm at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
