Roxie Fuller

Roxie Aline Srang Fuller 94, of Springdale, Ark. died Oct. 17, 2011 at home with family. She was born Oct. 27, 1916, at Lavaca, Ark., the firstborn and daughter of E.E. and Roxie Hudson Strang. A long time member of First United Methodist Church in Springdale, Aline was very active in women's fellowship and church activity. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and recognized for 50 years of membership. She graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1937 with a teaching certificate, The University of Arkansas in 1956 with a B.S. in Education and later received her Masters of Education from the University of Arkansas in 1968. As a career teacher for the state of Arkansas, she taught in Lavaca and Camden AR school systems, retiring from the Springdale School System after 27 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Springdale Education Association and Retired Teacher's Organization. Aline was preceded in death by her parents E.E. and Roxie Strang; Husband Grover Fuller (2003); Brother, Ernest Edgar Strang, Jr. (2004); Grandchildren, James David Fuller(1962), Tina Louise Fuller (1968), Christina Ann Fuller (1971) and Justin Wade Fuller (1974). She is survived by her sons; Don Fuller and wife Jan of St. Louis, MO, Larry Fuller and wife Mary of Springdale, AR, Dan Fuller and wife Judy of Jackson, TN and Jim Fuller and wife Dinah of Springdale, AR.; Brothers, James A Strang and wife Romalee, of Lavaca, AR., Harley Strang and wife Norma of Ft. Smith, AR., Bill Strang and wife Freda of Uniontown, AR., and Bob Strang and wife Shirley of Ft. Smith, AR. ; Sisters, Exine Bellamy of Round Rock, TX., Maxine Brown of Muldrow, OK., Nadine Miller and husband Bob of Ft. Smith, AR., Gelene Woody and husband Harold Lee of Sherman, TX., Ernestine Cuthbert and husband Tom of Greenwood, AR., and Earlene Gillson of Ft. Smith, AR.; grandchildren, Kevin Fuller, Kristyn Pickett, Denise Cole, Buck Fuller, Cheryl Fuller, Craig Fuller, Shelby Wooley, Chris Fuller, Jason Moore, Jeremy Moore, Dan Fuller, Jr., Jamie Chandler, Anissa Doty, Sheila Stone and Kara Eagle; 35 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Buck Fuller, Kevin Fuller, Chris Fuller, Dan Fuller, Jr. and great-grandsons; Danny Smith, Jonathan Cole, Blake Doty, Fuller Chandler, Jordon Wooley and Layne Wooley. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons; Kevin Fuller, Jason Moore, and Jeremy Moore, and great-grandsons; Ty Fuller, Brandon Chandler and Joel Chandler. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Funeral Services will be held at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale at2 p.m. Friday, Oct.21, 2011.
