Tana Jalene Foster

Tana Jalene Foster, age 82, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born May 10, 1944, in Clarksville, Arkansas. Tana was raised by her grandmother, who served as the postmaster in Arbaugh, Arkansas. She moved to Springdale in the second grade and later graduated from Springdale High School. It was in Springdale that she met the love of her life, J.D. Foster. Tana and J.D. were married in September of 1961, and together they built a home next door to his parents, where they continued to live until her passing. Tana worked as a teacher’s aide, caring for children with disabilities and special needs. She was active in Wesley Methodist Church in Springdale, including the youth ministry, and she had a heart for caring for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family every Sunday and lived by the Golden Rule. Tana suffered a life-changing stroke 10 years ago, losing her mobility, speech, and eyesight. Through it all, her husband, J.D., provided loving daily care and remained faithfully by her side. She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Arbaugh; her brother, Butch Arbaugh; and one grandchild, Austin Simco. Tana is survived by her husband, Jesse Dwayne “J.D.” Foster; three daughters, Melissa Hall, Sherry Squires and husband Robert, and Toni Foster; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hall, Mark Hall, M.D. and wife Sarah, Justin Looney and wife LeShea, Brittany Brawley and husband Ryan, Alley Kay Batson and husband Bryce, Peyton Squires and wife Kaylee, Cassidy Lancelot and husband Grant, Jessica Aldrine and husband Wes, Blake Simco, and Coy Backus; and great-grandchildren, Addy Rose Simco, Jaksen Looney, Aradayle Looney, Presley Brawley, Braxton Brawley, Randall Backus, Birdie Hall, Nora Lancelot, and Georgia Lancelot. A funeral service will take place on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Visitation will begin at 9 AM, followed by a short, family-led service.
