January 29, 1964 - July 15, 2021
It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of George “Dewayne” Wilson of Springdale, AR on July 15, 2021 at the age of 57. He was predeceased by his father, George W. Wilson and his nephew Tommy Smith, both of Hot Springs, AR. Dewayne will be lovingly remembered by his mother Maxine Wilson-Hulst, wife Catana and daughter Jayme of Springdale, son Teddy Caldwell of Hot Springs, AR, granddaughter Jalea and grandson Kai of Springdale, AR, sister Sandy (Dylan) George of Hot Springs, AR, sister Denise (Roy) Davis of Cabot, AR, mother-in-law Jackie Dykes and sister-in-law Vicky (John) Stevens of Hot Springs, AR, nephews Zach, Harold Jr, Patrick, Blake, Austin, Jaden, and Braden, nieces Amy, Jennifer and Ashley as well as numerous other family members. He will also be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his brothers and sisters in Christ, many friends and colleagues. Dewayne was a fearless, hard working entrepreneur with a big heart who always believed in doing the right thing. He loved all things military and was an outspoken Trump supporter. He told great stories and always loved a good laugh. One of his favorite things to do was sit down at a table with a pen and piece of paper and a large glass of sweet tea and brainstorm with numerous ideas and numbers. Throughout his life he accomplished many goals he set for himself. He was very knowledgeable in math, science, technology, space, past and current events (if ya know, ya know). He enjoyed the peacefulness of nature, loved to explore caves, and take in the beauty of waterfalls and bluffs. He loved all his family and friends and would constantly share beautiful memories and silly stories. Throughout his life, (he had a great memory!) he always provided a good ear to listen and give advice if needed. He constantly gave out compliments because he loved to see others smile. He was an animal lover who loved his music and good food and thrived at “picking on” his children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend! He loved life and always believed his riches were his love for Jesus Christ, family, friends, and our everyday blessings. He would sometimes say, “if I were to pass tomorrow, I can honestly say that I had a great childhood and a great life!” Dewayne was a Jesus loving family man and overall great guy and will be truly missed. A celebration of Dewayne’s life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Hidden Falls, 20147 AR-72, Gravette, Arkansas, 72736. Burial will be at De Roche Cemetery with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to any animal charity of your choice. The family wishes to send a thank you to the doctors and staff in the SICU at Northwest Medical Center for their care and compassion.
