James L. Pennington, 71 of Lowell passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born December 29, 1948 in Portland, Oregon to Lamoine and Emma Lewallan Pennington. James was a long haul truck driver. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was an avid outdoorsman. “For I’ve been invited to the fishin hole, Where every day is a day to fish, To fill your heart with every wish. Don’t worry or feel sad for me, I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea. We will miss each other for awhile, But you will come and bring your smile. That won’t be long you will see, Till we’re together you and me, To all of those that think of me, Be happy as I go out to sea. If others wonder why I’m missin’ Just tell ‘em I’ve gone fishin’ --- Delmar Pepper” He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Bernice Pennington. Survivors include his wife, Diane Pennington of the home; three sons, Kim Edward (Jodi Lafrentz), Jimmy and wife Crystal and Jason (Debbie Douthit); one daughter, Shelly and husband Ronnie Glenn; one step-son, Don Clark and wife Lanita; one sister, Lollie and husband Melvin, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11am at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bo’s Blessings, P.O.
