Leola Ann Pool Baker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leola Ann Pool Baker, born December 30, 1933, of Springdale, AR, beloved mother and grandmother, left this life on Sunday, June 19, 2022, in Bentonville, AR, at the age of 88 years. She was a homemaker first, and later became an award-winning representative for an international cosmetics company. In her later years she moved from country living into the city, and soon treasured her caring neighbors. She believed in God and his Son our Savior and was encouraged to have faith by her Grandmother Margaret Ann Pool, who raised “Lody” from the age of 5 following the sudden loss of her mother. Leola was preceded into the afterlife by her husband of 30 years, Charlie “Buck” Baker, her parents Hugh and Julia (Dillard) Pool, 2 infant brothers, and brothers Parnell Pool of Houston, TX and Gene Pool of Rogers, AR. Leola is survived by 3 daughters: Debra Lee Sellick and husband Phillip of Berryville, AR, Nora Ruth Cain of Springdale, AR, and Julia Faye Cook of Pea Ridge, AR. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and many cousins. Per Leola’s strongest wishes there was to be “no fuss, no flowers.” She chose cremation and will be interred near her husband at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 1:30 PM. All arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, AR.
