August 3, 1948 - November 26, 2021
Lloyd Harold Ashcraft Jr. PharmD (Doctorate of Pharmacy), of Fayetteville, AR, 73, passed away on November 26, 2021. Lloyd was born on August 3, 1948 to Cynthia and Lloyd Harold Ashcraft Sr in Little Rock, AR. After Lloyd graduated from John L. McClellan High School in 1966, he attended college at Henderson State in Arkadelphia, AR. While there, he was in Phi Lambda Chi fraternity, the National Honor Society and he played football for the Reddies. He then attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Most people would describe Lloyd as a kind, gentle and Godly man. Kindness flowed though him to everyone he met. Lloyd owned and operated Medic Pharmacy in Little Rock, AR for 22 years. He then moved to Fayetteville, AR and worked for USA Drug. As a pharmacist he loved visiting with his customers. His customers looked forward to their visits each time they picked up their medicine. He was more than “just a pharmacist” to many of them. Lloyd was a big kid at heart. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He would be the first one to suggest a trip to the arcade, go-karts or to play laser tag. He was so much fun to be around and always had a smile on his face. He had an adventurous spirit about him and he liked to seek out new things to do around town. He enjoyed taking a joy ride through the country on a nice day or driving around to look at Christmas lights. Lloyd loved going to the horse races in Hot Springs. He loved horses, and enjoyed reading about them. The horse races were always a fun place to go with his friends or family. He enjoyed going to deer camp with his father and with his son Trey. He would say his favorite vacation place would be on a cruise ship with his friends and family. His favorite team was the Arkansas Razorbacks. He taught his kids how to “call those hogs” at an early age and enjoyed taking them to the games. Lloyd loved the Lord, and loved his family. His kids remember him reading the Bible to them when they were little. He taught their Sunday school class and helped them learn Bible verses. He continued to be a Godly example to all his children and step children. Lloyd had a profound faith in Christ, his family takes comfort in the knowing he’s with his Lord and Savior.
