Vicki Louise Nighswonger

August 10, 1957 - May 23, 2021

Vicki Nighswonger, 63, of Springdale, passed away on May 23, 2021 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born on August 10, 1957 in Lamar, Missouri to Jim Reed and Nellie Clayworth Reed. Vicki was a teacher. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from U of A Fayetteville. She had started College in 1980 but then took time off to stay home with her two children until they started school. She went back to school and finished her degree in 1995. She loved teaching. Over the years, she taught and worked at First Baptist Church Springdale Daycare, Shiloh Christian Church, Lee Elementary and Turnbow Elementary. She loved working in the bus ministry of FBC Springdale for many years and met her husband while working in that ministry. She has been a faithful member of Oak Manor Christian Church as a child and FBC Springdale and Immanuel Baptist Church of Rogers in her youth and adulthood. She is preceded in death by her parents; Jim L. Reed and Nellie M. (Clayworth), (Reed) Provost, sister, Carolyn Wheeler; and father-in-law, Robert Nighswonger Sr. Survivors include her husband, Brent Nighswonger of the home; one son, Samuel Nighswonger and wife Miranda of Springdale; one daughter, Rebecca Nighswonger of Springdale; step-dad Ed Provost and wife Evelyn, two brothers, Jim Reed Jr. and wife Sherrill of Elm Springs and Tim Reed and wife, Debbie of Springdale; one sister, Cyndie Lyon and husband Jim of Rogers; two grandchildren, Zoey and Allice Nighswonger of Springdale. She also has several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. She was beloved by family and friends. Her love, her joy, and her strength of spirit will be greatly missed. She sent a daily Bible verse every morning to those she loved, and encouraged all of us to stay connected to one another, and to God. Services will be Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers. Pastor Tom Hatley will be officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Memorials can be made to IBC Go Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Online condolences can be left siscofuneral.com
