Virginia May Hatcher

Virginia May Hatcher, 95, of Springdale, AR, passed away on February 10, 2022 at Shiloh Health and Rehab in Springdale. She was born on May 7, 1926 in Springdale, AR, to Andy Stevenson and Pearl (Seaton) Stevenson. Virginia worked for many years in food service at Springdale Public Schools. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking. She was a faithful Christian and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Springdale. Virginia was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Loren Hatcher; her parents; four sisters, Helen Harvison, Jewell England, Jettie Upton, Bonnie Hoffarth; four brothers, Don Stevenson, Lester Stevenson, Thurman Dale Stevenson, and Wayne Stevenson. She is survived by one sister, Lucille Williams Brobst; two children, Gene Hatcher and wife Marlene of Lowell; Linda Madewell and husband Don of Springdale; four grandchildren, Jeff Madewell and wife Judy, Mike Madewell and wife Victoria, Melanie Taylor and husband Bryon, Cindy Jones and husband Nolan; and seven great-grandchildren Megan, Zachary, Joshua and Luke Taylor, Isabella Hatcher, Courtney and Ashley Madewell. Visitation will take place on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 4 PM to 6 PM at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 2 PM at Sisco Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
