Andrew Steven NeSmith

Andrew Steven NeSmith, 52, went to his eternal home with the Lord on October 27, 2023. Andrew was born in Washington, D.C., on his mother's birthday to Bob and Linda NeSmith. He grew up in Orange County, California, and graduated from Capistrano Valley High School in 1988. Andrew had an entrepreneurial streak and, as a twelve-year-old, would hire neighborhood kids to wash cars while he supervised the operation. At age fifteen, he had a booming business detailing cars. After graduation, Andrew became a manager for several Mobil Oil gas stations and took great joy in turning a plain station into a thriving mini-mart. Andrew also managed gas stations for Chevron Oil throughout California and, as a twenty-something, was traveling throughout the country training future managers. In November 2000, Andrew worked for the Auto-Chlor Company and was transferred to Springdale, Arkansas. Over the years, Andrew worked for Ecolab Company and Aramark Corporation before finally returning to his favorite job, selling flooring and carpeting for Carpet One in Siloam Springs and Springdale. Andrew was great at every job he ever held. In August 2018, Andrew married Lori, the love of his life. Andrew was a Christian and loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a bright light for anyone who ever met him. Over the years, however, he fought with chronic depression and sadly and tragically lost the battle. Andrew is predeceased by his sister Suzi, who, at age 47, lost a courageous battle against breast cancer in 2020. He is survived by his wife and forever love Lori NeSmith of Springdale, daughters Dara Ballard of Eureka Springs, Rynn NeSmith of Fayetteville, Elyse NeSmith of Fayetteville, grandchildren Jasmine Ballard (12), Rue Canada (2) and Halen Canada (1) all of Eureka Springs, and his parents Bob and Linda NeSmith of Springdale, aunt Marianne Matthews and husband Bob of Huntington Beach, CA, aunt Rosemary Adamek of Glassboro, NJ, and uncle Ric Dunkle and wife Sandy of Winchester, VA. Andrew will be sorely missed by his loving family, and many friends scattered all over this beautiful country, including his new friends at Neal's Café every morning. Anyone who ever met Andrew made an instant friend as all loved him. The family wants to thank the Springdale Police Department and Andrew's co-workers at Carpet One, who helped on that tragic day. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Sisco Funeral Service, Springdale, Arkansas. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home, 705 West Meadow, Springdale 72764. Please, no flowers. The family asks instead that you make a contribution to your favorite charity.
