Celia Dollins

Celia Grace Dollins, 14 of Springdale, Arkansas died on August 16,2011 in a motor vehicle accident in Springdale. Celia was born on December 17, 1996 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas to Stephen and Cara Dollins. She attended school at the Mountain Home Montessori preschool; Nelson-Wilks-Herron Elementary School in Mountain Home, Arkansas; Harp and Hunt Elementary Schools, HellsternMiddle School and Central Junior High School in Springdale, Arkansas. Celia was excited about starting ninth grade this year at Central, though admittedly more looking forward to band than Geometry. Celia loved to "go and do". She was always up for any outing, however small. She loved spending time with her friends and family and having sleepovers. She enjoyed playing her clarinet in the band. She was an excellent student and an avid reader and movie buff, often attending midnight showings of her favorite new releases. She was thoughtful and generous to others. In past summers she had volunteered at the Jones Center in Springdale and was starting volunteer training with the Washington Regional Hospice program. She hoped to become a high school guidance counselor. Celia is survived by her parents, Stephen and Cara Dollins of Springdale; her sister Rose Dollins of Springdale; her grandparents Jerry and Linda Dollins of Fayetteville and Roy Horne of Fayetteville; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Irma Horne of Fayetteville and her aunt Laura Dawson of Fayetteville. Throughout her life Celia had a great love of animals, and they of her. She loved to go to the Wild Wilderness Drive-Through Safari in Gentry, the zoo, the animal shelter, and even PetSmart, where she would head straight for the live animals. She loved her big black cat Elvis the most. In lieu of flowers her family requests a donation be made to your local animal shelter. Celia would definitely approve. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, August 20th at Sisco Funeral Chapel, 705 West Meadow, Springdale, AR, with Paul Woodhouse presiding. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 7pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel.
