The others can do whatever the hell they please.” – John Wayne Cordelia Elizabeth Stilwell departed this world on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Springdale, AR. She was 84 years old. She was born on January 16, 1939, in Springdale, AR, to Wardie Lee and Ruth Sigmon Graham. Cordelia is survived by her husband Willie of 54 years; son Denis Bookout; daughter Dorothy Willits, husband Russ; daughter-in-law Teresa; grandson Brad Bookout, wife Shana; granddaughter Brittany Bookout; granddaughter Angel Aguilar, husband Jaime; grandson Brent Bookout; granddaughter Candace Seaman, husband Nathan; granddaughter Heather Pack, husband Jesse; granddaughter Ashely Weaver; great-grandsons Isaiah, Mikel, Aiden, Jacob, and Justin; great-granddaughters Madison, Gabby, Alexia, Gracelynn, KynLeigh, Elsie, Kendall, Brooklynn, and Kielie; brother Cecil Graham, wife Aleta; honorary brother JR Davis; honorary granddaughter Heather Cotton; honorary great grandsons Landon and Pryor; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She is preceded in death by her parents; son Fred Bookout; stepson Brian Stilwell; daughter-in-law LaJeana Bookout; brothers Billy Graham, William David Graham, and James Graham; and sisters Julia Ellen “Jude” Graham Neidlinger, and Georgia “Georgie” Graham; nieces Sharon Taylor and Elizabeth Petty. Above everything, Cordelia loved her family. She attended school performances, kept every drawing and card, and enjoyed playing card games with her grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her, and she always bragged about them by sharing stories. She loved them big and protected them against all odds. Cordelia enjoyed Western movies starring her “boyfriend” John Wayne, chocolate-covered cherries, and 7-up. She never missed a chance to sneak food from a buffet. She hated cooking, cold weather, and sheep more than anything. She suffered from Parkinson’s disease for many years, but she did not let that stop her. She continued to attend family gatherings, school events, and visits with friends. She was feisty and stubborn, told it like it was, and hated to be called Granny. She loved a good joke and always made us smile. Cordelia was a very special woman. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 2pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12-2pm at the funeral home.
