Curtis Wayne Walker, age 66, passed away unexpectedly following a cardiac event on August 8, 2026. His sudden passing has left a deep hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Curtis was born December 7, 1959. He was a quiet, intelligent, and sensitive man with a truly big heart. He wasn’t one to make a big show of things, but he cared deeply for the people in his life. He was dependable and steady, and when someone needed him, he was there. To his daughters, he was their rock—a constant presence they knew they could always count on. Curtis also had a generous spirit. If someone needed a place to lay their head for the night, his door was open. He had a way of making room for people, whether they were family, friends, or simply someone who needed a place to land. He didn’t expect recognition for it; helping others was simply part of who he was. He had a quick wit, a great sense of humor, and a personality that made it easy for people to feel comfortable around him. Curtis enjoyed talking with people, sharing stories, and making others laugh. Those who knew him will remember not only his kindness, but also the warmth and humor he brought with him. Curtis had an adventurous spirit and a lifelong love of the outdoors. He loved camping, canoeing, floating, climbing, and spending time in nature. Some of his happiest times were the simple ones—being outside, surrounded by family and friends, enjoying life and making memories. Above all, Curtis loved his family. He loved his daughters and grandchildren deeply, and the relationships he shared with them were an important part of his life. The time they had with Dad and Grandpa will be treasured, and his presence will be deeply missed in all the ordinary moments where he was simply always there. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Eara Walker. He is survived by his daughters, Haley Watkins and husband Brandon and Sydney Presley and husband Brett; his beloved grandchildren, Liv Watkins, Taven Hilton, Remi Watkins, Emmea Watkins, and Everest Harper; his siblings, Debbie Jones and husband Alan, David Walker and wife Stacy, and Stacy Federico and husband Stephen; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. Curtis left this world far too soon, but he leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, friends who were better for knowing him, and countless memories that will continue to be shared for years to come. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandpa, a brother, a friend, an adventurer, and a man with a big heart whose door was always open. His absence will be felt deeply, but so will the love and kindness he left behind.
