Haris Goldman

Haris Goldman of Springdale, age 80, passed away on January 8th, 2026. Haris was born June 29th, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, to Eli & Paula Goldman. Survivors include Sue Goldman & Jared Goldman of the home, brother Herb & wife, Elizabeth Joan Goldman of Las Vegas, Nevada. “Adopted” brothers and sisters include Bill Sims, Don & Becky Sims, Jeannie & David Simmons, Harold & Carolyn Sims. Haris was born in Long Island, New York, and loved the beach while growing up. and at one point became a lifeguard. He also worked at the World’s Fair as a teen. He called these early jobs “girl-watching jobs.” He later graduated from Hofstra University, then worked at the Price-Waterhouse Accounting Firm in New York City. Haris was the Vice-President of the Oratronics dental implant company in the beautiful landmark Chrysler building for many years before moving to Northwest Arkansas. In 1980, after moving to Northwest Arkansas, he started his own company selling dental implants and bonegrafting materials, travelling worldwide to display products & educate dentists and doctors in their usage. Haris always wanted to share whatever knowledge he could if it would help someone, so he would always go out of his way to do so. During his career, he was very active in many dental implant societies. The American Academy of Implant Dentistry awarded him an honorary fellowship for his contributions to the field. He spoke from the main podium about how to get medical insurance to cover dental implants, something that wasn’t yet available or common in the early 1980s. He was a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, an organization that continues education in Implant dentistry. He was also a member of the Alabama Implants Study Group. Haris had a lot of hobbies throughout his life. He loved cars such as old muscle cars or fast cars, such as convertibles. He loved not just the speed but also the noise that these machines made. “Fun cars,” he called them. One car was a Buick Regal, and even after selling it, he kept a photo of it at the race track with the front wheels off the ground! At one time, he owned 7 Chevrolet Corvettes. The thing that Haris loved most was shooting guns. Not hunting, but “killing those paper targets” (And he was pretty good at it too!) He won many, many awards, certificates, prizes, plaques & trophies in local and regional competitions and tournaments in USPSA, IDPA, PPPC, and Cowboy Action Shooting. At his competitive peak, he ranked 2nd place in the Marksman class at the 2009 IDPA Arkansas State Championship for SSP at age 64! He also loved to teach and educate new shooters on proper gun safety and shooting technique, as well as younger children, teenagers, and housewives of friends and family. Haris also loved animals! At one time, he was a volunteer at the animal shelter, taking photos of the animals & posting online to help get them adopted. He would also take shelter dogs outside to run & play ball with them to get to know these animals. He would bring home numerous dogs and cats and foster them until he could find a suitable permanent home for them (Sometimes that home ended up being HIS home.) Haris had a unique sense of humor, a kind heart for those in need. He loved his family and, at times, was just a big goofball. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 2pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
