Julie Nichols

Julie Nichols, 61, passed away on June 5, 2025, in Bentonville, AR. Julie Nichols was born to Rev. Julius Russell and Octavia Rogillio Russell on October 22, 1963, in Columbia, LA. Julie was a gifted pianist who faithfully served in churches throughout her life, using her talent to glorify God and bless others. Her love for children shone brightly through her years of service in nursery and preschool ministries, as well as the countless little ones she lovingly cared for in her own home. She earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and she poured that knowledge and passion into homeschooling her five children—her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. In 1992, Julie met the love of her life, Randy—a true match made in heaven. They were married exactly one year later on the anniversary of their first meeting, and together they shared 32 beautiful years of marriage. For 29 of those years, Julie was a devoted member of Cross Church, where she faithfully served her church family with grace and humility. More than anything, Julie loved the Lord with her whole heart. We rest in the comfort of knowing she was welcomed into eternity with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Her legacy lives on most profoundly through her five children, in whom her love, strength, and faith continue to shine. Julie is preceded in death by her mother and three cherished babies, Gabriel, Michael, and Trinitie. Julie is survived by her husband, Randy Nichols; five loving children, Tavie Nichols in Tulsa, OK, Tessie Nichols Hargrave (Isaac) in Springfield, MO, Trey Nichols (Hannah) in Rogers, AR, Trulie Nichols in Springdale, AR and Torrie Nichols in Springdale, AR; one cherished granddaughter, Ruthie Hargrave; her father, Rev. Julius Russell in Columbia, LA; three brothers, John Russell in Plano, TX, Mark Russell (Pat) in Cookville, TN and Paul Russell (Yoshi) in Odessa, TX. A service will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 11 AM at Sisco Funeral Chapel with a visitation beginning at 10 AM. Memorial donations can be made in Julie's name to The Gideons International or to American Family Radio.
