Katrena “Trena” Pianalto, better known as “Bug,” was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 5:31 p.m. in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at Washington Regional Medical Center. And honestly… if Trena could’ve picked her day, it would’ve been Easter. We all know that. What better day to meet Jesus than the day He rose? That just feels like her—perfect timing, just how she would’ve wanted it. Trena was born on February 17, 1966, in Wichita, Kansas, to Rayne Lee. At a very young age, Dewey Lee adopted her and became the dad who raised her and loved her as his own. She’s now reunited in Heaven with her parents, her brother Mark Armer, and her birth father, Bob Armer. She leaves behind the love of her life, Tony, whom she married on May 11, 1985. Their love is the kind people talk about and hope for. You almost never saw one without the other, and while she might’ve called him “exhausting” every now and then, there was never a doubt—he was her person. Trena’s greatest pride and joy were her kids: Kristina Sherrill (Kevin), Autumn Harton (Denton), Jacquetta Pianalto, and Nicholas Pianalto (Keely). She was their biggest cheerleader, their teacher, and—eventually, even if she didn’t want to admit to it, their friend. She always said, “I’m your mom, not your friend,” but later on she’d laugh and admit her kids were some of her best friends. And her grandbabies—those were her everything. She was the best Nonna to Kaiden, Kolby, Braiden, Brianna, Luke, Madilynn, Kimani, Carter, Logan, and Blair. She was so involved in their lives—always showing up, always cheering them on, and always ready to be a little goofy right along with them. She even learned how to use Snapchat and social media just to keep up with them and stay part of their world. She also leaves behind so many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who she loved just as big. She is survived by her siblings Robin Smith (the late Donny), Nikki Lee, Jamie Brown (Steve), Barbara Cunningham (Brad), and Bobby Dale Armer (Julie). She was so proud of every single one of them and loved them fiercely. She also leaves behind many beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, and cousins who meant so much to her. Trena spent her career in healthcare, and it showed exactly who she was. She loved working with the elderly - from Friends House Adult Daycare to her roles at The Gardens at Osage Terrace and Legacy Village. She was loved by her coworkers and respected by everyone she worked with because she was kind, fair, and genuine. She had the patience of a saint. If someone asked her the same question over and over, she’d answer it the same way every time - with a smile. Her faith was everything to her. She loved Jesus, and she made sure everyone knew it. More than anything, she wanted the people she loved to know Him and join her someday in the Kingdom of Heaven. If she could tell us one thing, it would be: she’s waiting on us, and she hopes to see us again. Trena loved hard from the very start. If you met her, you were getting a hug - whether you were ready for it or not. She made people feel welcome, seen, and loved immediately. Even complete strangers, like someone she just met in the grocery store, would end up telling her their life story. And her hugs? The kind that made you feel safe and didn’t end too soon. She was also unapologetically late to just about everything - and somehow, it was always Tony’s fault. That was just Trena. Full of life, a little unpredictable, but always worth the wait. And because being amazing wasn’t enough, she once pulled someone out of a burning car. True story! That’s just who she was. Brave, selfless, and always showing up for people when it mattered most. She loved big, in all the ways that counted. She always told us, “We love you this much,” making a circle with her hand - and that’s exactly how she loved us, without end. We love you this much, Trena. We can’t wait to see you again in the Kingdom of Heaven. There will be a gathering of friends on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.
