Loy Lee Counts

Loy Lee Counts made his heavenly journey on Thursday, February 8, 2024 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Loy was born on August 7, 1938, at Drakes Creek in Madison County, Arkansas the son of John and Myrtha (Davis) Counts. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Kay Counts in 2014. He loved her with all his heart and missed her every day since they parted. Loy was also proceeded in death by his parents, a special grandson, Ricky (Bud) Roth, a sister, Betty Counts and brothers, Carl, Curt, Ken, and Bill Counts. Loy is survived by his sisters, Laverne Hiblong, and Linda Masters, and a brother Bob Counts. He has 3 children, Norma and Marty Price of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Loy and Becky Counts of Deer, Arkansas, and Danny and Tina Counts of Fayetteville Arkansas. He was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Amy and Gary Ezell, Casey and Dillon Johnson, Christy and James Isaac, Tanner and Isabella Counts, Phillip Price, and Erik and Kaitlynn Price. He also had 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of brothers and sisters in Christ. Loy served in the medical field for the army in Germany from 1961-1964 during the Vietnam War era. When he returned to the states, he was called into service for God. He pastored many churches in the Northwest Arkansas area, his latest being Colbaugh church in Hindsville, AR. He loved preaching, holding revivals, visiting the sick in local hospitals and the shut ins, and often went on visitation to homes in the area invite people to know Jesus as their Savior. Loy had a passion for preaching and teaching the word of God, and was blessed with an amazing memory for the Bible, often preaching without ever opening his Bible. Loy has introduced many people to Christ through the years and will be lovingly remembered by both immediate family, and Christian brothers and Sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 12 PM to 2PM at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with a funeral service to follow. Brother Earl Scroggins from Faith Freewill Baptist in Holdenville Oklahoma will be officiating the service with Brother Eldon Bagwell reading the obituary, Music and songs to be provided by the Colbaugh Church. Pallbearers are Tanner Counts, Gary Ezell, James Isaac, Phillip Price and Erik Price, and David Hiblong. Honorary pallbearers are Dillon Johnson, Mike Counts, Paul Counts, Mark Counts, Ross Smith, Brice Smith, Ed Wade, Clifford Burton, and Lonnie Burton. A special thanks to the Veterans Hospital, Heroes Haven staff for the loving care they provided for Loy and the family. Internment will follow the service at the Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
