Robby Ray Harvill, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, at Regency Hospital in Springdale, Arkansas. Born on December 11, 1941, in Harlingen, Texas, to Opal Wynnoa Borshardt and Jessie James Harvill, Robby lived a life defined by service, generosity, and an unwavering love for family, friends, and community. Robby never met a stranger. Whether you knew him for years or had just met him, he had a way of making you feel like an old friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, share a kind word, or teach someone a skill that would make life a little easier. He believed that knowledge was meant to be shared and took great pride in helping others learn to be self-sufficient. One of Robby's greatest passions was gardening. His garden was more than a hobby — it was a way to connect with people. Throughout the year, he delighted in sharing his vegetables, seeds, and gardening wisdom with neighbors and friends. Many benefited not only from his harvests but also from the lessons he gladly passed along. His generosity knew no bounds. After graduating from high school, Robby proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving his country honorably for 20 years. His military service reflected the dedication, strength, and sense of duty that characterized his entire life. Robby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cheryl Bond Harvill; his mother, Opal Wynnoa Borshardt; and his father, Jessie James Harvill. He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: his daughter, Rebecca Collins; his sons, Rusty Askland, Dennis Askland, and Timothy Harvill; his grandchildren, Ryan Cather, Kyle Collins, Kelsi Schroeder, and McKenzie Askland; and numerous great-grandchildren. Beyond his love for people, Robby had a special place in his heart for animals. He rarely turned away a stray, believing that every creature deserved kindness and care. Many animals found a home, a meal, and affection because of his compassionate spirit. Those who knew Robby will remember his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, generous heart, and endless willingness to help others. He taught by example, showing those around him the value of hard work, kindness, and caring for both people and animals. His life touched countless others, and the lessons he shared will continue to live on through the family, friends, and neighbors he inspired. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. "A life well lived leaves a legacy of love that never fades."
