Seth Duane Mohorn

Seth Duane Mohorn, 50, of Springdale, AR passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his home. He was born January 26, 1972 on a U.S. Air Base in Misawa, Japan and was the youngest of three boys, born to Joe and Marie Mohorn. Seth pursued his education through a soccer scholarship and graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He played on the 1990 National Small College Championship Athletic Association team, having made the goal winning shot. Following his time as an athlete, Seth coached the Men’s Soccer Team at York University. During this time he was a referee for U- 14 and 16 soccer teams throughout Nebraska. His passion to help others would eventually lead him to teach business and Bible classes at Central Arkansas Christian School in Little Rock, AR, while coaching their boys and girls soccer teams and boys junior high basketball team as well. Life would lead Seth to Dale Carnegie Training where he became a franchisee owner and business partner of Howard Mohorn and Associates, Dale Carnegie of the Mid-South. Seth won many awards, taught numerous courses and influenced countless people around the world. His greatest honor was receiving the first annual Seth Mohorn Resilience Award that will now be given yearly in his name. Seth and his wife Charity recently acquired the Dale Carnegie Franchise of the Emerald Coast which will continue impacting those who pursue these invaluable opportunities. Although Seth made a tremendous impact on the many people he came to know throughout his life, there is nothing that could match his faith in the Lord and the love Seth had for his family. Seth was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Ellen Shockley Mohorn and his grandparents, Roy G. and Mary L. Mohorn and Robert E. and Marie E. Shockley. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Charity Celeste Sutton Mohorn of the home; two sons, Ian Mohorn (Leigh) of Springdale, AR, and Eli Mohorn (fiancé Meg Sinha) of Springdale, AR. He is also survived by his father, Joe B. Mohorn (Cheryl) of Springdale, AR; two brothers, Robert Mohorn (Judy) of Murseboro, TN and Donald Mohorn (Susan) of York, NE, along with many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Robinson Ave. church of Christ in Springdale, AR on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Visitation will be held at 9 am followed by the service at 10 am. We will be celebrating Seth’s life as a devoted servant of Christ and servant to others. Dress will be business formal in Seth fashion.
